Sheltered Housing

What is sheltered housing?

Our sheltered housing provides good quality accommodation for older, vulnerable people who require that extra bit of help and support to remain living independently.

Our schemes consist of bungalows or flats within Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire can offer the following:

  • Independent / living space with your own front door
  • A comprehensive housing and support related service provided by the Scheme Manager
  • Out-of Hours emergency service provided by our call centre, Service 24

  • Communal facilities including lounge areas, laundry facilities and guest rooms

  • Private and/or communal gardens or patios where tenants can enjoy the outdoors

  • For further information/general enquires, please contact us on 01733 347135

    Our Scheme Manager Service

It is important to us that our tenants feel comfortable, safe and secure which is why we offer an excellent Scheme Manager Service to compliment the accommodation on offer.

    This flexible service offers:

  • Help and advice on a wide range of housing related issues

  • A comprehensive support service tailored to meet individual needs

  • Home visits/welfare calls to offer support and advice in helping you to access external services in the area.

  • Assistance to report repairs and advocate on your behalf

  • Regular meetings facilitated by the Scheme Manager to ensure the smooth running of the scheme.

We are here to assist when needed but at a level that suits every individual. We also respect that each tenant has the right to privacy and so choose a non-invasive approach if they wish to have less formal contact – it is all about choice!

Each bungalow/flat is also equipped with a call system to assist if an out of hours emergency occurs via a pull-cord system linked to our out-of -hours call centre, Service 24/

They are able to assist with all medical and repairs related emergencies 365 days of the year – giving that extra peace of mind that someone is always there.

    What is Extra Care?

    Our Extra Care philosophy:

‘To create ‘homes for life’ where our high quality housing, adaptable support and care services meet the needs and expectations of our residents – offering choice to maintain dignity and independence.

Our Extra Care Schemes couple the independent living aspect of sheltered housing with all the traditional services offered within a residential setting at a level which is tailored to suit individual requirements.

Care needs are met by the team who are onsite 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year. Residents also benefit from a housing support service provided by a Scheme Manager.

As well as individually designed flats, our schemes include a range of communal facilities and services:
