Axiom's Extra Care Scheme in Alma Road, known as The Pavilions, celebrated its first birthday with a special party.
Axiom staff and residents celebrated The Pavilions first birthday with a party for family and friends.
In advance of the day, residents held a special Strawberry Tea Party to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Care.
Alan Lewin, Chief Executive, said:
"The tea party was a fantastic idea and all the residents really enjoyed themselves. £70 was raised which is a great result. Because the tea party was held just a week or two before the actual birthday party, residents were eager for the celebrations to start which meant everyone was in high spirits".
On the actual day of the party, a special celebratory cake was cut by Caroline Kuch, one of the first residents to move into the scheme. Entertainment was provided by K and B Duo with a buffet tea for all to enjoy.
June Presto, Scheme Manager, said:
"We had the K and B Duo come along in the afternoon to provide entertainment and all the residents were singing along and dancing with them".
"By the end of the afternoon my feet were aching and everyone was very tired, but we all had a really good time".
"I would like to thank everyone for their support, especially those who helped to make the day a success".
"It was absolutely fabulous!"
