The Wisbech Foyer, is situated within the town's waterfront development and is giving young homeless people a whole new opportunity to make something of their lives.
The building in North Street opened in December 2006 and is the newest of our four Foyers, providing accommodation for up to 17 young people between the ages of 16 and 25.
Dedicated staff are on hand to help residents who need to develop independent living skills. They can also give support to the residents in connection with their individual training needs, education and/or employment advice.
Each resident has their own room, with access to shared facilities, including a communal lounge, kitchen and laundry room. There is a training room where residents can meet with an allocated support worker as well as a well equipped computer suite.
The Foyer helps young people gain confidence and independence and assists them in achieving their full potential by offering supported housing and opportunities in a variety of areas. It aims to break the cycle of no job - no home - no job cycle.
